THe story behind
Joy to the World

Broken Jar-05.png

We came together to plan for a camp. However, as we asked God what is something on His heart for the young people in our community, we realised that many of us struggle to find true joy but God wants us to experience this joy and shout it out to the world!

Happiness is fleeting because it requires happy circumstances, whereas Joy remains. It stays even in the midst of troubles.

When we experience true joy, it comes from the depths of our soul and our heart. It is this euphoria felt regardless of the situations we face in life. It is being able to smile even in the storms of life.

Indeed, we are all not perfect, we are broken and have cracks, yet, we have someone who cares so much about each and every single one of us and He loves us despite our brokenness, our mess and He wants us to experience overwhelming joy. He picks up all our broken pieces and mends us back together and then still uses us despite our flaws. He fills each broken jar with His joy, so much that it overflows. Not only that, He does not want us to cover up these cracks but rather, let the overwhelming joy we have flow out through them as well.

As part of discovering what true joy is, our youths and young adults are embarking on a journey to complete 25 tasks (our bingo card) over the course of 6 weeks, leading up to Christmas. The JTTW team has painstakingly come up with these 25 tasks as we strongly believe that these tasks would help guide the participants on this journey of finding true joy.

Ever wondered what it is like to experience that true joy? Joy that is lasting, joy that remains even when everything seems bleak?

Come join us to find out more!
